Tour description

The 2-day trip to the Sredny and Rybachy Peninsulas is for travelers who want to see Europe’s edge, Arctic military sites and the wild Barents Sea coast in a short trip. This is an active off-road tour from Murmansk focused on landscapes, history and the atmosphere of the northern tundra.

In two days, the route covers the main sites on Sredny and Rybachy: Valley of Glory, Titovka, Musta-Tunturi Pass, Two Brothers cliffs, red rocks, Kekursky Cape, ancient settlements and former garrisons. Overnight stays are at a tent camp on Rybachy; you can upgrade to Ozerko Holiday Camp.

Tours to the Rybachy and Sredny Peninsulas are especially valued by travelers seeking an authentic northern experience rather than polished tourist stops: empty shores, military history, Barents Sea winds, and long daylight hours.

Day-by-day itinerary

Titovka, Musta-Tunturi and the first shores of Rybachy

We plan to leave Murmansk at about 07:00. We travel through the Valley of Glory and the Titovka checkpoint into the northern rhythm of the route: Titovsky Frontier Museum, a German cableway, Gagarin Creek and the first locations where military history is written into the landscape.

After lunch, we head toward Musta-Tunturi and the Sredny Peninsula. Along the way, we visit Egg Hill, Motovsky Bay, coastal defense memorials, the Two Brothers cliffs and red rocks. By evening, we reach Rybachy, set up camp or check into Ozerko Holiday Camp, have dinner and stay overnight by the Barents Sea.

Kekursky Cape, Skorbeevsky and return to Murmansk

After breakfast, we head to one of the route’s most impressive locations: Kekursky Cape. Here you can see why Sredny and Rybachy are called Europe’s edge: sheer cliffs, an ocean horizon and no city bustle.

Next, we visit an ancient settlement, the abandoned Skorbeevsky garrison, a literary dugout and the region’s most spectacular waterfall. We have lunch near Titovka and at 19:00 we return to Murmansk. An airport transfer can be arranged immediately if needed.
