Tour description

A 3-day trip to the Sredny and Rybachy Peninsulas offers more depth than an express excursion: you can see the main viewpoints and spend time on Rybachy, visit German Cape, Vaida Bay and remote locations that offer a true sense of Europe’s edge.

The route starts in Murmansk and travels via Titovka, Musta-Tunturi Pass, military batteries, Two Brothers cliffs and red rocks to the Rybachy coast. The second night and most of day two are devoted to northern capes, ancient settlements, old lighthouses and traces of Pomor history. On day three, we return at a relaxed pace via waterfalls and historic sites on Sredny.

This option works especially well for travelers who want a full tour to the Rybachy Peninsula from Murmansk at an unhurried pace.

Day-by-day itinerary

Titovka, Musta-Tunturi and onward to Rybachy

We plan to depart Murmansk at 07:00. We travel via the Valley of Glory, Titovka and the Titovsky Frontier Museum toward Sredny. This is the first day of the expedition: military history, mountain passes, waterfalls and a sudden transition from road to true tundra.

After lunch, we climb toward Musta-Tunturi, visit Egg Hill, coastal batteries, Two Brothers and the red rocks. By evening, we continue to Rybachy, have dinner and stay overnight at the camp or Ozerko Holiday Camp.

German Cape, Vaida Bay and deeper into Rybachy

The second morning is unhurried. After breakfast, we head to northern Rybachy, visiting Koroviy and Kiyskiy Capes and the tidal flats before reaching German Cape — the northernmost point of European Russia.

In the afternoon, we visit Vaida Bay, see the old and new lighthouses, the “Rift of Time” stone, a Pomor well and traces of historic fisheries. We return to camp for dinner; a sauna and seafood can be added on request.

Kekursky Cape, Titovka waterfalls and the return journey

Day three leaves time for the final highlights without rushing. After breakfast, we stop at Kekursky Cape, then take our time at ancient settlements, the Skorbeevsky garrison and viewpoints on Sredny.

Before returning, we visit a literary dugout, the region’s most impressive waterfall and the Titovka cascades. By 17:30-19:00 we arrive in Murmansk. If needed, we can coordinate the route with an evening airport transfer.
